The Magic of AI

Privacy and cookie policy

Last updated: 15 August 2026

The short version: this site has no accounts, no logins, no newsletter, no contact form and no database. Nothing you type into a calculator ever leaves your browser. What data does get processed comes from advertising and analytics, and this page explains exactly what that is and how to control it.

Who is responsible

The Magic of AI is operated by John M., based in the Netherlands, acting as data controller for the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

What the calculators do with your inputs

Nothing. Every calculator on this site is JavaScript running inside your own browser on a static HTML page. The numbers you enter are used to compute a result on your device and are then discarded when you close or reload the page. They are not transmitted, not stored, not logged, and not visible to us. There is no server-side component that could receive them.

You can verify this: open your browser's network inspector and use any calculator. No request is made.

Cookies and similar technologies

Three categories of cookie may be set when you visit.

Strictly necessary. A single record of your consent choices, so you are not asked again on every page. This is set regardless of your choices, because it is what remembers them.

Advertising (only with your consent). This site is funded by display advertising served through Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners may set cookies or read device identifiers to measure ad performance, limit how often you see the same advert, and — where you have consented — personalise which adverts you see.

Analytics (only with your consent). Google Analytics may be used to count visits and see which pages are read, in aggregate. It is not used to identify individuals.

If you are visiting from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you are shown a consent dialogue before any advertising or analytics cookie is set. Advertising and analytics storage default to denied until you make a choice, implemented through Google Consent Mode.

You may accept, reject, or configure individual purposes. Rejecting is a real option, not a dark pattern: if you decline, the site still works identically and adverts are still shown, but they are non-personalised — chosen from general context rather than from any profile.

To change your mind later, use the privacy settings link in the consent dialogue, or clear this site's cookies in your browser and reload, which will bring the dialogue back.

Third parties that may process data

Party Purpose Their policy
Google AdSense Serving and measuring display adverts policies.google.com/technologies/ads
Google Analytics Aggregate visit statistics policies.google.com/privacy
Web host Serving pages; server logs including IP address and user agent, retained for security and diagnostics

Google's advertising partners are listed in the consent dialogue itself, where you can review and control them individually. Google may transfer data outside the EEA under the transfer mechanisms described in its own policy.

Consent (Article 6(1)(a)) for advertising and analytics cookies. Legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)) for the server logs needed to keep the site running and defend it against abuse. There is no other processing.

How long data is kept

Server logs are retained for a short operational period and then discarded. Advertising and analytics retention is governed by Google's own policies, linked above. Nothing is retained by this site itself, because this site stores nothing.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you may request access to your personal data, correction, erasure, restriction of processing, portability, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interest. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting what was lawful beforehand.

In practice we hold almost nothing about you, so most requests will be answered by explaining what your browser and Google hold rather than by producing a file. Send any request to hello@themagicofai.com and it will be answered within 30 days.

You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority. In the Netherlands this is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).

Children

This site is aimed at people making professional technology-purchasing decisions. It is not directed at children and no content is intended for them.

Every price in the index links to the vendor's own pricing page. Once you follow such a link you are on someone else's site, under their privacy policy, not this one.

Changes to this policy

Material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date above. Because the site holds no contact details for anyone, there is no way to notify you directly — the date is the notification.
